I offer several different session types and packages for individuals and groups, but they all include a consultation and brainstorming session so that I can tailor your photo shoot to your needs. If you don't see a package that meets your requirements, please contact me with a description of the photographic services that you are looking for, and I will provide an estimate.
INDIVIDUAL:
Premium Individual Portrait/Publicity Package $240.00 ($215 with student discount)
Includes:
- 3-4 hour individual session; possibility of several locations (i.e. indoor and outdoor, studio style and informal, multiple changes of clothing, etc.)
- More extensive processing on three images*
- Unlimited non-exclusive usage of all photos
- Basic post-processing (color/exposure adjustments and corrections, cropping, etc) on all photos
- A CD of high-quality digital files from the shoot, suitable for printing
Deluxe Individual Portrait/Publicity Package $200.00 ($175 with student discount)
Includes:
- 2.5 hour individual session; possibility of several locations (i.e. indoor and outdoor, studio style and informal, multiple changes of clothing, etc.)
- Basic post-processing (color/exposure adjustments and corrections, cropping, etc) on all photos
- More extensive processing of three images*
- Unlimited non-exclusive usage of three images**

FAQ:
Q. What is "unlimited non-exclusive usage"?
A. Basically, it means you can use the photo for publicity, print it, give it to your manager, give it to your grandma, put it in a brochure for your music festival, etc. I still own the copyright and can use the photo in my portfolio, on my website, and so forth. Pretty much the only thing you CAN'T do with your photo under "unlimited non-exclusive use" is sell it to a third party (i.e. sell it to Shar to use in a violin ad, or something like that). Sorry for the legal terminology!
Q. What can you change in photoshop?
A. A lot can be done in photoshop, but some things are much more difficult and time-consuming than others. That's why I've quoted an hourly rate for editing instead of a per-photo rate. Here are examples of some easy and quick photoshop fixes: making a photo brighter or darker, getting rid of a bra strap that's showing, smoothing skin, editing out blemishes, making black-and-white versions, removing dust spots. Here are some difficult things which would take much longer: making someone look thinner, changing a background, opening closed eyes, getting rid of wrinkles in clothes.
Q. What should I wear?
A. Bring several outfits--for instance, formal and informal. Longer sessions give time for more changes of clothes. In general, avoid white for outdoor shots since it is highly reflective. Bring makeup to reapply during the shoot, especially powder or foundation to reduce shine.
Q. Do you shoot groups of more than 5 people?
A. Yes, but larger groups may require additional equipment or studio space, so for an estimate please contact me with specific details about your group and the kind of images you are requesting.
Q. Why should I order prints from you instead of having my digital file printed at Walgreens, etc?
A. My prints are ordered from a specialty lab for professional photographers, and use higher quality papers and inks, precision cropping, and color and density correction. If you like, I can show you a side by side comparison of a photo printed at Ritz and one ordered from my lab.
